Seeds of Peace to be part of Comedy for Peace^TM on many levels. By David Lewis

As many of you know, I've been hoping to work out a partnership with the fabulous organization, Seeds of Peace, that brings Palestinian and Israeli kids together for a summer camp experience in Maine.  Well… drum roll… it's happened!  Seeds is going to be part of Comedy for Peace^TM, on many levels.  They'll help get the TV show concept off the ground, be a big part of the comedy tour -- both as organizers of a joint show as well as providing production volunteers, be the core of the education program and so on. 

The first thing we'll be doing together is a comedy show in New York on October 27th.  This is a benefit for Seeds and I'll be filming it.  I'll get some top-notch comic material for the TV trailer and get to meet some top-flight comedians.

David Wain (Comedy Central, Wet Hot American Summer) hosts Susie Essman (HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm), Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (Conan, SNL), Greg Giraldo (Comedy Central, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn), Caroline Rhea (The Caroline Rhea Show), Demetri Martin (Conan writer, Perrier winner, Carson Daly), Dean Obedeillah (SNL, CNN), Aziz Ansari (ECNY- Best Stand Up, Premium Blend) and Catie Lazarus (AMC, ECNY- Best Comedy Writer)  and teenagers from the Middle East will speak.

Plus we have fun auction items ranging from a meal with Jim Norton and Colin Quinn to VIP tix and   paraphernalia from The Daily Show, SNL, Conan, and Letterman and autographed DVD's from CD's from David Cross, autographed book Embedded from The Onion and autographed book In America from The Daily Show, cd's and DVD's from Comedy Central, JDUB records and Miramax. The show will be taped as part of Comedy for Peace^TM.
