Park Hotel, Netanya By David Lewis

We filmed today in the hotel in Netanya that was the scene of one of the worst bombing attacks.  30 people were killed in 2002 and the incident set off the most violent phase of the bloody back and forth between the Israeli military and Palestinian militant organizations.  The cook's story of trying to save lives was simply horrific.

Though Comedy for PeaceTM will not choose sides or say who is right or who is wrong in the epic struggle between Palestinians and Israelis, it is impossible to hear these stories and not be appalled.  Hopefully this project -- in some small way -- can help people see there "opponent" in more human terms… and find new ways to communicate without violence.  It is, of course, equally hard to hear of the deprivations and pain born by Palestinians.
